Research Focus:

We study how the development of the cerebral cortex is altered in neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by intellectual disability, particularly Down syndrome. We use human stem cells and post-mortem brain tissue to identify cell and molecular differences in how the brain develops in Down syndrome.
